I voted | TAKE ACTION

Anyone else have a stressed-out network? My clients, colleagues, friends, and family on both sides of the aisle are exhausted by the combination of a hair-on-fire political season that has been painted as an existential risk, a world on fire with local wars and environmental distress, the current planetary period including deadly and damaging storms, solar flares, comets, and even earthquakes in the Blue Ridge. When the world feels too much to cope with, take some small ACTION, almost anything positive, whatever is your next right thing. For my husband and me that looked like voting early yesterday as we will be traveling on election day, a simple act, which we both experienced as an immediate relief. Other options might include taking a walk, making some soup, calling a friend you haven’t seen in a while, or getting your hands in the dirt in the garden. Instead of doomscrolling, or whatever your go-to displacement activity is to turn away from the world, turn towards it instead by taking ACTION. You’ll be glad you did.
