Is your pre-frontal cortex missing in action? If you are under stress, it may be. During challenging situations, reduction in PFC activity can lead to impulsive or irrational behaviors. Under non-stress conditions, the extensive connections of the PFC orchestrate the brain’s activity for intelligent regulation of behavior, thought and emotion. See research link in comments below. Stay tuned for a coming article on leading during disruptive change. Want to talk about getting your PFC back online in the meantime? Reach out.
